Leadership Criteria:

The pastor, associate ministers, deacons, employees, staff persons, and church leaders are to be representative of God and his kingdom at all times. The following are requisites for leadership in our congregation.

1. Exhibition of Christian Values in daily life.
2. Commitment to the support of the church’s ministry through tithes and liberal freewill giving.
3. Consistent participation the church’s evangelistic ministries.
4. Active membership in the church’s Ministry of Christian Education (Sunday School, Church Training, etc.)
5. Professionalism in attitude, attributes, and attire.


Weddings:
The Pastor and members of Zion Canaan Missionary Baptist Church celebrate marriage and we recognize the family as the building blocks of our society. We believe that marriage is an honorable institution and should not be entered into lightly or unadvisedly. The Pastor reserves the right to council with the couple prior to the wedding date. All formal weddings are held on Saturdays between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Van Transportation:
The Zion Canaan Missionary Baptist Church is committed to providing transportation for members and friends for Sunday morning worship as well as Monday night bible study. Transportation is also available for all church related activities. Arrangements should be made with the church office for regularly scheduled services at least two (2) hours prior to services. Special ministry projects requesting the use of the church van must fill out a “Vehicle Request Form” and have it approved two (2) weeks prior to the usage date. Due to insurance purposes, all van drivers must be approved prior to driving church van.


Church Properties and Resources:
The use of the buildings, grounds, instruments, and resources of the Zion Canaan Missionary Baptist Church is reserved for causes which advance the kingdom of God in the lives of all people. Properties or resources belonging to the Zion Canaan Missionary Baptist shall not be taken from the church grounds without approval.
